A Tribute to Dr Liz Taylor

Dr Liz Taylor was celebrated on June 7 for her near 50-year career as an OT.

Liz will officially retire from the UofA OT Department at the end of June.

OT Outside the Clinical 'Box': Fieldwork Placements within Alberta Health

On two occasions in recent years, Dr Shannon Berg, an OT who is currently the Executive Director Primary & Community Health for Alberta Health, has hosted and supervised an OT student for a non-traditional final fieldwork placement with an administrative and policy focus.

A New Year of Fieldwork Has Begun

Our sincere thanks to all of you who are currently hosting and involved in the supervision of our Year 2 OT students!

These students are completing their Level 2 placement from Jan 7 - Feb 22 within an impressive range of practices, organizations and services across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

The 'call for offers' for placements that are needed for the spring (Level 1) and summer (Level 3a) sessions is also underway.

OT Fieldwork Finished for 2018!

A huge THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who were involved in supporting and/or directly supervising our OT student placements this fall!

Your generous offers for OCCTH 528 (7 weeks in Sept/Oct) and OCCTH 503 (1 week in Nov) sessions had our students engaging in a wide-range of OT practice areas and locations. Fantastic experiences!
